Search Engine Marketer Said Google is Going to Mostly Sponsored Results. Is this True

Hi!
A search Enegine Marketer from InfoUSA call me today. He tried to sell me on his services. I told him that I don't pay for results, that I try to rank organically. He said that Google is changing the way they will display results.

He said that Google is going to start having 80% paid results and about 2 or three organic results at the bottom of each page. The right hand side, the top and the bulk of the main sections will all be paid results.
Has anyone else heard this or was he just trying to sell me his service advertising and marketing which costs $350 month.

He was trying to con you.
No way in hell is Google shifting to a more paid result model than the spaces it already uses right now.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Except to add, google prides itself on NOT selling top search results.
That has been their motto since day one.
Money talks, true. But google's business model is built on
NOT selling the tops results. If they changed, they could not
possibly get a handful of users to pay them the billions they
reap from their users now. And the whole google industry would
      collapse.

There are paid search engines and they are useless.
Now you can disagree with that statement and make some
good points about "some" traffic. But putting top search results
to the highest bidder is a bad idea.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

That's funny because whenever I do a Google search the first thing I see is paid results. Since in English we read left-right, top-bottom

So it seems like Google is not following through on their motto :p

Yeah I wouldn't bet on that.
It would totally ruin their image and business model.

      Oh...BS!

Don't you just sometimes wish that you had recorded a conversation with those types of ppl?

Then slap it back in thier face for misrepresentation and whever other laws you could find.

And blast it all over youtube or something.
