I wonder, how does all those veterans manage to get so many backlink easily? 500 and 1000 or more were totally like a piece of cake to them.

Geting 50 backlink already kinda ridiculous to me and I kinda wear off. I had been keep writing and submit articles to directory in this month and I barely have approximately 30+ backlink if I not mistaken.

What am I missing here?

It sounds like so far you are getting backlinks only from submitting 1 article at a time to directories. Clearly that is going to be a slow go.

There are tons of other ways to get backlinks, social boomkarking, blog commenting, setting up blogs on web 2.0 sites like blogspot, forum signatures, and forum profiles.

I personally get a majority of my links in from forum profiles, and also another significant number/percentage in from blog commenting. Why? They are the most time anc cost-effective for me and give me the most oomph for the time/cost involved.

I can get my outsourcers to put up 400 profiles for me with 2-3 backlinks in each profile, for ~1000 total backlinks, for $145. Well worth it for me.

Some people outsourcing for building backlink, or using tools like link farm evolution, xrumer, scrape box, etc.

If you want just backlinks, you can get tons of them very easily by spamming. But these links would be worth zilch and would actually do your rankings harm than good.

Concentrate more on the quality than quantity of the links and you can easily beat the 500-1000 backlinks guys with your "paltry" 50+ high quality links.

even if you dont' use complete automated tools 30 backlinks should be easy to achieve in an hour or two. So if you just did a few every now and again then you should have more than that.

So I suspect you are doing it the hard and long way. If you have to write an article for evey site then I can see why you would burn out.

Yep. I've proven to myself that quality does matter.

You aren't saying that Google could/would penalize you for *incoming* links to your site (which any competitor could surely use to sabotage you) are you? Surely you jest.

are you using article submission software? If not you should. Submit manually to EZA and then use the software to submit to a couple hundred other directories. This will generate many more backlinks than doing one at a time.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the few times I ran a mass article submitter to 400+ sites, um, lets say 1 out of 400 ever ended up showing as a backlink.

X2 on that man. I just bought a *well known* auto submitter and It's freaking junk. 80% of the links i checked didn't provide a link. You had to go in and manually edit every article to get a link....auto submitters suck. adleast this one did....

        I've had the same problem.

However, when I get some time I'm thinking about going through my accounts and the top 15-20 article directories and submitting their RSS feeds to aggregators and running my author account pages through Bookmarking Demon to see if I can get all of these articles indexed.

I'm still not 100% sure whether it's worth my time, though.

I stick with a few submissions of good quality articles to directories that get syndicated a lot. Good articles on these directories will get picked up and spread my links out across several blogs and other sites which has a lot more impact than the article directory links.

Why don't you try using tools like auto article submitter that can submit you article over 100 article directory or you can try software that can submit your page to 100,200,1000 social bookmark.

Many ways to build backlink, you can use software or you can outsource to other people.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[1706409].message }}
  • The problem with the article directories from article submission software is of course that they get thousands of articles a day. All spun articles. May be Google is on to this and it´s more difficult for a link on these directories to get approved by Google.

I am doing a bit of both article submission and blog commenting. I also submit not just my site but my article urls to social bookmaking sites.
I find that having a mix of both is a good balance between quality links and not so quality links.

As for the forum posting, I think that this won't be suitable for me..I am the type who can easily get discouraged if someone were critic my sites through the forum board or anything..haha

as for the software, I think I would skip it for now. I am dead poor to buy anything..and that is the reason why I have to do anything manually.

That is why I hope I can find some good manual or tips to build backlink in better fashion at here.

An easy way to get more backlinks is to check the backlinks of your competitors and copy them if you can.

Then you don't have to go searching for locations yourself and if you do that for 10 or so competitors then you depending on how many they have you should have at least a few hundred.

It's alot easier to outsource this because of how boring it is though!

If you;re really desperate to get links, you can 'spin' your article by using a tool such as Magic Article Rewriter or the many tools out there. This will then generate a unique version of your article and you can submit this to tons of article directories, web2.0 sites etc. Article spinning is an art and it isnt easy or quick so patience is a virtue here....lol

It can be effectove though. However, I woudl suggest you just outsource some forum profiles etc as they can be quite effective.

I agree with joelchrist when he says to utilize forum posting. It's probally the easiest way to build backlinks. Everytime you ask/answer a question you build an anchor text link.

When you crusing the site take a look at the bottom of people comments and you will see their anchor text links. Just edit your signature using the blog format

I find that just using the top 5 article directories is more effective (ezine / article base / goarticles / isnare etc)..

Create some web 2.0 site to point to those articles / add in some forums link building / socially bookmark them all and rss them.

This should be stuff you are already doing for your main site anyways.

RSS submissions, mass social bookmarking, automate profile linkbuilding, mass commenting, mass articles spinning and submission, mass web 2.0 account generators.

    Automate, automate, automate.

There are also sites out there that can up your speed considerably, such as SocialAdr and IBL Builder.

You should also look at other strategies such as mixing in automation etc with a few quality link deals, and churning our linkbait.

Don't make it an obvious blog farm, ie, a big list of links to your site. Just do normal posts that describe things you like or don't like. Link to your sites and other sites as well, especially authority sites like Wikipedia or major news sites.

Getting 30 links in one day is not a difficult task. You can do this very easily through blog commenting. Of course I am saying about good comments in quality blog. You will benefited more if you can use CommentLuv plugin enabled blog. Anyway you can always outsource link building works to other since it is a time consuming work.
