Content pages de-indexed after one day?!

Hi Guys,

A couple of days ago I put up my first micro niche site. I created and submitted an RSS feed for it and submitted it to a load of directories using RSSbot and dropped a few social bookmarks to content pages. About 12 hours later I was pleasantly suprised to find all pages had been indexed by Google, but as of yesterday it seems that the content pages are no longer in the index. My privacy policy, contact form and sitemap are all still in the index, but the pages that I actually care about seem to have dissappeared!

I checked their inclusion using the site:example.com operator, and have checked against multiple datacenters, but always get the same result. Is this part of the "Google dance"? My gut feeling is that it's not, as I'd expect the pages to still show in the index even if the rankings were fluctuating if that were the case.

Hope one of you can tell me otherwise?

Regards,
James

It's actually pretty normal for this to happen. It often happens to me too with new sites.

You'll find within a day or two they will be back again.

Thanks tracey - that puts my mind at rest. I just wanted to ask before I went on and built a load more!
