With using a MU does that mean you will have sub-domains like besttattoos.myxfactorkeyword.com? If so, I'd suggest you reread John's ebook because the whole idea is to dominate a keyword phrase by domain real estate; i.e. your keyword as the domain.

Wordpress MU or Multi-User is just a different wordpress platform that allows unlimited blogs from the one interface.

You can still use regular top level domains to configure each blog if you want.

Advantage is that you can update all your blogs at once from the one control panel (saves having to manually do it to each blog whenever there is a plugin or wordpress update).

As to whether it would work with xfactor sites, then I don't see why not - I guess you'll just have to test it to see.

I do believe it will add upto unlimited sub-domains. from a single niche keyword domain.

I don't know whether google hates them or not.. but as far as domain name... buy a generic sounding domain.. like "bestwebsite.com" or "onlineinformationsite.com." Then, for each blog you create you choose the name for the subdomain, so your keyword, obviously. Some people really like WPMU because you can get any keyword you want at the very front of the entire domain. so.. loseweight.onlineinformationsite.com.

Just one angle of a reason some people like WPMU.

Hi guys I have a question on one of the techniques used on M.Jones affiliate code which utilises word press mus

    It was a traffic generation in module 6 on Aff code in which M.Jones was building backlinks and traffic via ''wp mus'' aka word press multi users. I thought it was extremely good and I have a question on it ;

Say I have a blogger that ends in blogspot.com

    eg Teez.blogspot.com

and then custom domain it to teez.com via blogger

Then would I be right in thinking I can still use the traffic generation techniques in module 6 of the clickbank code where M.Jones uses ''wp Mu's'' to drive traffic to his blogger page.

Cos I understand he says don't ever do it for a .com but if its technically a blog which I just custom domained into a .com is that alright?

Or should I use the traffic generation whilst its still has the ''.blogspot.com'' and then after a couple of days when Im done building the site then customdomain it from teez.blogspot.com to teez.com

    Thanks guys

Secondly, with any site it can take months to wait for it to come out of the sandbox. With Mu, you put all your eggs into one domain (compare with spreading that same content over say 50 sites).

I had a mu site I worked on for 2 months this summer and not of the content got indexed in Google, I couldn't work it out. I also got no traffic from Yahoo or MSN either. Fresh domain reg too.

Now, I would only use mu if I was building a community site and not relying only on SEO for traffic.
The search engines have been discounting several CMS's lately because of spam abuse. New sites done in these have a tough time getting going.
