Article backlinks question

If I have 30 articles and I want the maximum SEO benefits from them (not traffic from the directory itself), would it be better to submit them to just a few top directories, or 30 different directories?

Also, if I submitted them to just one or two using different keyword phrases would it count as a one link because it's coming from one URL, or would it count as multiple links?

  • You are going to get different viewpoints on this. I would say that you would not want to repeat the same content over too many sites, though you might want to consider rewriting content and distributing over a period of time, but using the same article. That gives some freshness and increases the chance that each submission will be indexed.

    • What I meant was 30 DIFFERENT articles to 30 different sites, not the same 30 same articles.

      And using DIFFERENT keyword phrases in the 30 different articles on the SAME site count as one link?

  • I would sudgest building a seo optimized blog on blogger or wordpress and use the articles to create backlinks. Youll see much better traffic from the search engines directly than third party article traffic (which is very short term anyway.)

    • Yeah, I'm using thebestarticlespinner to create multiple articles for the Web 2.0 sites and some other cheap info domains, but was kinda wondering if I'm wasting my time submitting over and over again to the same directories. Someone mentioned Google only counting one link from a domain, I've submitted multiple articles to ezinearticles, but it takes a while to show up.
