I got this message when I validated my rss feed for my static website. Not sure what it means. Will my feed still work? How do I change it so I don't get this message?

"This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations. line 4, column 103: Self reference doesn't match document location

... rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" />"

Kind Regards,

Steller

What this is saying is, your pheed is valid...However, you didn't "link" to it correctly.

There's a tag called an "auto doscovery" tag, that's sort of like a meta tag. The auto discovery tag tells browsers and spiders that there is another version of this html page that is in RSS, then "points" to the RSS version.

It seems you haven't correctly "pointed" to your RSS file from your RSS file, if this makes sense.

Kinda makes sense. How do I do this? Where is this "auto doscovery" tag at? Is it a tag on my home page?
