Should I care about those PR 4 Article Directories for backlinks?

So far, I only submit my articles to any article directories that have more than PR5 but then, I always have the urge want to submit my articles to other article directories that have PR4 and below. Until now, there is no any action taken for me yet since I afraid that those might be waste of time.

So in this thread, I would love to read you guys opinion about it.

It's my opinion that you should get your backlink from as many places possible, so yeah I would add your article to them.

As long as it is not taking most of your time, why not? I have a lot of PR0 backlinks and they are doing great.... a link is a link..

The best thing which I read in your text is that in article directories, you give preference to the top article sites which have not less than PR5. Dear, I will suggest you to keep on doing work in this manner. In case you are not able to find any more article directories having at least PR5 then you should try to search out article directories in descending order like PR4, 3, 2 and then 1.

Thanks for your guys input...I guess you guys are right..link is still a link in the end.

How about those "No follow" article directories?

      Hi,

I think you should think about PR 4 site as after all link is a link so, if you choose PR4 directory for your article than there is no problem in choosing it.

If your are doing submissions on PR 4 directories and getting backlinks than it is worth for you to care about such sites.

      Thanks

I think you should forget about those "No follow" directories, as this is no good for SEO purpose. Apart from the human visitors that may be there, it will not help with your PR.

I would say - go for them all, but be careful of "nofollow" links. They are made to help fight spam. Thus (call this B.S. if you want) they may indicate your website as spam and negatively impact on its Trustrank.

This is just another one of those SEO myths that everyone throws around. In fact, there are many studies on no follow links that prove otherwise. Yahoo and Bing count these links as normal links and the same links that hold relevance to your page can count for you in Google.

Think of it this way, when you do some viral marketing you will get links from many different sources. SE's (especially Google) like to see a good mix of all kinds of links because it looks natural, not just 'do follow'.

          Cheers

Would love to see the evidence on the 'Trustrank' part

I would look at possibly going for the top directories and then filtering it down to the PR4's etc.

What you may want to consider is look at the number of ourgoing links on that article page. If there arent many then you could possibly add it to the particular directory. Once approved, bookmark and ping it for some added love.

Don't worry about nofollows as a link is a link. Apparently some other search engines don't look at this as detrimental to rankings so don't be too concerned. It will also look a lot more natural.

    Hope that helps!

For me all links are good, if it generates the backlink is best effective. if not create the backlink that is the introduction page, provide networking spiders more>> many people know about your>>> there is also the successes. I think many good links, is guaranteed placement of your page.
