Monetory benefits of becoming Google Top Site

I bumped on a site that boasts of being Google's top site and to prove its credentials, it has a list of impressive list of key words that show this site on Google's first page (often in first 3-4 results).

I am in process of building my own website (primarily to earn extra bucks through search traffic) and want to keep this one as my reference for designing the content design on my site. Can anyone let me know if there are better reference sites than this site?

    All I will say is that the site is a bit dull to be honest. What exactly are you looking for? Are you referring to the type of content, the look of the site or the SEO factors?
