Hi

I've just used the trial version of SEO spyglass to look at a competitors back links.

I've noticed that some of the links from sites which High PR for the domain are showing that the actual page linked from has 0 PR. This is for sites like Yahoo directory, yahoo asnwers, 192, free webs.

Would it be worth replicating these links?

Thanks for your help

  • In short the answer to your question would be no. This is not due to the nature of the links but where the links are coming from. A link from a site with a high pr domain on the inner page of the site still carries some weight, (think profile links). But these links that you are speaking of are pretty much a waist of time. The yahoo directory link is NOT free. And links from yahoo answers are all nofollow links. They can get you a little bit of extra traffic, but not from search engines.

I would go for a better quality of links. It is possible that you could easily outrank your competitors by doing so.
  • I think You should better link from high PR quality website as that will ranks You much better. Yahoo Answer is all no follow. I also confirm that.
  • Don't follow the competitor... just get high quality back links from other sources.
  • Like article marketing...
