So I am ranked #3 when i search for my keyword under google chrome. Today i used my friends computer to see if i went up. He has a mac and uses safari...im on page 4. So i thought maybe its my cache or something i cleared my catch today and i still am #3 under the keyword. Then i tried using internet explorer on my computer...im on page 4 under that. What is going on here...?

  • different browser,different page rank
  • Many times this can be because you're logged into your gmail account, and seeing as they save search preferences and pick up on trends, it will rank the site significantly higher, the IE should be more accurate if you're logging in with Chrome. Or we can check for you if you post keywords/website

  • Dear, It is due to the Google personalized search. Just clear the browsing history of all the browsers you have on your system then search out your ranking on google.

    • its not possible your ranking is different in both the browser. it will be same in all the browser whether it is explorer, mozilla, crome, netscape.

clean your system cookies and then try againg and i m sure u will find accurate result
  • i usually get the same problem so i turn to explorer to check my ranking. also if u r 3rd for the keyword u're probably getting traffic if u r on the 4th page ur not gettin ne traffic..just check on that as well..
  • It also happened to me to have very different ranks in different browsers. But it's due to Google personalized search. I generally use Firefox, so in it I have a better place for some keywords, as I visited my site more frequently in Firefox than in Google Chrome for example.
  • Clean your cookies, log out of google account, turn off google toolbar, then try again.
  • It's personalize result. You're on page 4 actually. You can try to logout your google and try again or try on other computer and It's the real rank
