Warriors,

I've been hearing alot about this recently so I was looking for a confirmation.

Lets say I have two domains. DomainA.com and DomainB.com

Domain A has 1000 backlinks. Domain B has 0.

If I were to have a 301 redirect going from Domain A to Domain B.. would it pass all the link juice to Domain B as well?

If this is true.. then wouldn't it be so easy to just buy expired domains and do redirects to your money sites thereby getting them a ton of quality backlinks (which I assume your competiton wouldn't be able to see through backlink checkers)

  • From what I understand in regards to this topic, is it will work, for the short term at least.

Might want to review SEOmoz | Buying Expired Domains: What's the Best Strategy? for some additional understanding.

I have seen this posted a few times. Just can't remember where now.

yes it works and it works well providing the domains you buy are related to your subject and they contained something simalar previously, In other words if the backlinks on that domain are related to your site you are on a winner.

    I read the SEOMOZ article.
It seems that what was previously assumed about 301 redirects passing link juice is not entirely true now. The best option is to bjy these domains and turn them into minisites for passing link juice to your own domains.
