Hey Guys/Gals,

I've been developing a couple dozen sites and (besides the hiccup with my hosting provider) I'm clearly on my way to a good amount of adsense money coming in.

Having said that, what are a few of your strategies for LINK BUILDING you use in order to get your XFactor/Clickbump sites ranking on page 1 or even in top 3?

Here are a few of my methods (that are fairly obvious):

- Article Directories
- Forum Sigs
- DoFollow Blog Comments
- Paid Links

What are some other link building tactics you've used with success for your XFactor/Clickbump domains?

Are you looking for link building strategies directly related to Clickbump? How would they be any different than normal link building. Aren't the methods you're stating the same as generating backlinks for all sites (minus a few)?

    I guess I'm confused a bit!

Yeah, they are the same, link building strategies. Add to the list RSS feeds, squidoo links lists, and of course bookmarking! regular post to Twitter and Tumblr, I find the Mixx tags pages show up in my link reports (cpanel and Traffic Travis, never on Google link:site) I found clickbump's strategy very good, but have yet to get a top5 SERP

It's more-so link building strategies that get you indexed and ranked quickly. I do lots of traditional backlinking strategies that are cumbersome, but help break into super-competitive niches. I'm more talking about "quick and dirty" methods to get you going fast.

    • what amazes about x-factor is he uses NO other backlinking method except article marketing

that means he uses no linkvana, no profile linking, no bookmarking, no web 2.0, no article spinners, etc.

one article submitted to an article directory possibly can get you hundreds and hundres of backlinks...yes, one article can get you hundreds of links from scraper software and people bookmarking your article as the way x described it.

Yea, but that's more the exception, not the rule. The RULE is is that if you want more links, you need to submit to more article directories (or wherever you like).

My first post!!! How sad LOL!

Built/Uploaded my first HTML Static + Style Sheets Niche Site on 2/23/10 to my hosting account.
As of right now (3/2) my site ranks #9 in Big G out of 1.2 mil results.

Here's what I have done so far:

    - I've got 12 article directories that I use.
    - 9 sites I submit my RSS to (Ponyfish creates simple, free, efficient html to rss feeds)
    - Social Bookmarking (SocialBot kind of a waste - I actually like OnlyWire better) - manual submissions as well.
    - Directory Submissions (tons of free programs to make this uber easy).
    - I've only commented on like 2 blogs - and 2 forums that I regularly visit (in sig and in posts )
    - I also "ping" my pages and articles and what not for fun - maybe it actually does something?!

That is all I think for links...?

With my adsense sites I only do a couple articles for each site right away. Most of my sites will end up in the 5-8 spot on the 1st page I am happy and then I will move on to another one.
