Are many links from the same page going to hurt me?

I noticed in the report back from a manual linking service I just used that one of the sites they must have accidentally duped because there are 2 links (with different anchor text) pointing back to my site from the same blog. Is this suspicious? I'm hoping not because I'm sure there are plenty of legitimate sites that link to the same site a couple different times on them...

Thoughts?

You're fine man I would not worry about the small stuff. The most that will happen is google only counts one of the links.

Keep reminding yourself if it was that easy to tick off google and hurt your rankings... competitors would be easily cutting each others throats in the search results... never going to be that easy

    Hey Brandon,

You can have virtually unlimited number of links to your site and Google won't mind it, as long as they are pointing to different locations. For egs, you can have a homepage link and a deep link back from the same page. It won't hurt any rankings.

Google isn't going to punish/penalise you for that. If it was hundreds of links, then maybe they would take a closer look and discount the links, but they won't penalise you for it, otherwise wouldn't we all be spamming our competitors?
