Hi there,

I have been promoting ClickBank stuff for a while using SEO methods.

I am trying to use 2nd-tier PPC network to promote stuff, but I don't know how I can track things down to the keyword level.

Can you please share your experience with me?

What I am trying to say is, I wanted to track which keyword was bringing in the sales. I might have around 20 keywords and if every one of the keywords are getting traffic and suddenly I get a sale out of those 20 keywords, how would I know which keyword had bring in the sales?

Thanks in advance for any help given

I've been away from ppc for a while. But doesn't Google Analytics do
this for you? I think it does but not 100% positive.

Maybe read up on it and find out.

    Regards...

They can, but as I read, it's only for Google Adwords ? I'm not so sure. I am not going to run my products in Adwords.

I was referring to something like Adbrite , 2nd-tier cpc program. Can anyone please show me the correct way to track things down to the keyword level, and also tracking the conversion using some sort of tracking softwares?

Actually, Google Analytics is free and very powerful. You do not have to have an AdWords account to set it up.

Aiden, what you wanna do is go check out tracking202 .com I recently signed up with them, its 100% free and its awesome. I am actually using yahoo search marketing ppc platform, you turn analytics on in there, and then set up your tracking202 with it. You can track down to keywords, ads, etc. They also have prosper202 which is the same thing only you host it yourself. I am not sure how tracking202 works with search engines other than the big 3, but I am sure it wont be hard at all. Go check out the site, they have setup videos that make it super easy and good luck! Tracking at the keyword level is killer because you will notice a couple of lkeywords that just always convert like crazy and thern you can delete the others and up your bids for the good keywords.

    Hi there mpbiz,

I am using P202 too, but I am not using the 3 big PPC engine at the moment, which is heavily and efficiently supported by T202 and P202.

I meant they do support the search engine which I am using, but I wanted to track everything down to keyword level, PLUS the conversion tracking, I can track those keyword which bring in traffics but I need to submit the conversion tracking code to the vendor of Clickbank to be put into their landing page each and everytime if I am going to into a new niche/product.

I wanted to know which keyword is working for which product, if that make sense to you

Say, if I have 3 similar product which I am going to promote and test them out all at once, using different landing page. I would need to create 3 different urls in P202 (or using the url rotating feature). And then I would need to manually submit the conversion tracking code to the order confirmation page on the vendor's landing page.

That's what I don't want to do. I wanted an automatic way to track my keywords + sales.

Anyway, thanks for your kind words and thanks for your help.

I have found a solution to solve this problem

if you are willing to go the paid route, affiliate prophet can do the job. It will automatically generate tracking ids and pass it to clickbank. You will be able to see which keywords got the conversions from inside of affiliate prophet.

    @mpbiz,

I believe you can check out affiliate prophet and cbsaletracker.

The solution that I have found, the developer is still developing it.

@Platinum Matt, Thanks for the tips

@netmatrix, I read from another source, and it seems like it will work with many platform, but the set up is quite hard for me, so I think I will forgo using it.

@Blitzian, @tylerdrun, thanks for the suggestions! Will definitely check them out!
