ScrapeBox + ProxyBonanza No More?

Hey guys,

I just stumbled across Proxy Bonanza's blog and saw this;

We no longer allow using our proxies with Scrapebox and Xrumer software. We received too many abuse complaints. To maintain high quality of service for other customers Scrapebox and Xrumer are not allowed on proxybonanza.com from now on.
No more Scrapebox,Xrumer support Proxybonanza blog

I'm not sure exactly how they're enforcing it, but, given that so many of ScrapeBox users use ProxyBonanza, what now?

What are the other good private proxy sources?

Funny I just finished saying in another thread what I've said many times.

Bots like that always lead to abuse.

Its the reason why people who are serious about building a mature business should stay away from them or anything attached to them. They get used by lazy and unscrupulous people (not that everyone that uses them are just enough of them to get links removed for everyone) who use the automation to spam (and theres nothing else to call it) non stop.

In addition they give zero respect or attention to the websites that they use for linking and I've seen where webmasters compare notes and label the users of it as spammers. Not good for long term business.

The commenting feature of scrapebox is the least important feature of scrapebox, IMHO, so i'm not sure what the issue is Mike. The scraping feature is where the money is at, and that certainly isn't unscrupulous or anything of the sort.

In any event, I assume that most of us who use proxies with scrapebox really just use them for scraping and PR checking, which really just p*sses

My proxybonanza proxies still work in scrapebox and since i hae 13GB bandwidth left, I'll continue to use them until it locks me out and ask for a refund of the remaining bandwidth.

There really isn't a need to use proxies for things other than scraping.

As for xrumer, xrumer has been out a long time so i'm not quire sure why proxybonanza decided right now that xrumer was a no-go, and oh yea, might as well through in scrapebox while we're at it:confused:

Not true. Some submission services change proxies to submit multiple accounts to the same site because some sites track IP addresses.. and of course some want to remain anonymous.

I cancelled my account and they refunded me a bit according to my remaining bandwidth.

I'm not really sure how they are enforcing it, but I'm sure they have a way to so I doubt you'll be able to use it for much longer.

We were discussing scrapebox (as proxies relate to it), not other programs. Submission services do not relate to scrapebox, last time I checked.

The announced link mentioned Xrumer plus the link doesn't mention what kind of activity was the abuse. Two facts that make the observation appropriate. Besides lets not play any games. The two can and are used in harmony. Scrape for forums and then place them with xrummer. Want to avoid being identified from a single Ip address with multiple account submissions use proxies. Leave it there . No need for us to go back and forth on yet another simple issue.

I think they may have just sent an email out to all of their users. I just got the following email from proxybonanza-

We are sorry to announce we no longer allow using our proxies with Scrapebox and Xrumer software. We received too many abuse complaints. To maintain high quality of service for other customers Scrapebox and Xrumer are not allowed on proxybonanza.com from now on.

We will be also reassigning proxy IPs for all shared proxy accounts tonight (8pm-11pm GMT+1 7th March) so please check your account after 11pm for new proxies.
I'm wondering the same thing...how they will enforce it. I'd love some suggestions as well on some other good, cheap, & reliable proxy sources.

Are there any good alternative to proxybonanza to use with scrapebox now?

I also received that email and then cancelled my account with them.

I think the best option is not for everyone to start using the same services again, as the problem will just reappear.

I'm going to do some research and see if I can find some solid services that aren't being abused.
