So I have been using free tactics to push traffic to my site for months and now am trying to do some PPC..

I set up my first campaign and am having trouble with the clicks now..

my adwords account shows 208 clicks however, on my clickbank there are no hops reported.

I used direct linking with my ad, bought a domain name and masked it with my affiliate ID.

maybe i did something wrong with the masking so it doesnt report hops?

if anyone could help me out a bit, that would be awesome!

Thanks ahead of time.

Usually people do direct linking with ppc because they don't want
to buy a domain name, set up a landing page, etc. So not sure
    exactly what you mean.

Do you have your domain name in your ppc ad, and do a redirect?

If so, first... don't click on your own ppc ad, but you can manually enter
the domain name on your ppc ad and go to it, then check your stats to
    see if it's working.

Did you test it in some way to check your hops?

Have you learned ppc from a reliable source? If not, it's a very good idea
    to do that.

If you are new to all of this I would say to stop the campaign and learn a little more about ppc. You can loose your shirt if you don't know what you are doing.

you sure you used the right links? no hops showing up is odd if the clicks go through a valid hoplink!

When you say 'my site' - is that a landing page separate to the affiliate offer?

Are there links on this website to the affiliate offer?

Or is it redirecting straight to an affiliate page?

I'm not clear either on how you set it up. As you also mention masking.

PPC is not hard to learn - however it does need to be treated with respect.

Adwords actually have an excellent help section to set yourself up - and also with what is allowed and not - it is worth going through it.

I agree - it can be an expensive exercise to go in there straight away without doing your prep homework.

Are you search advertising only? Or both Search and content?

Sorry for being unclear - as you can see..I am new to this lol..

      Ok to clarify.

I went to godaddy and bought a .info domain name.

the link that I bought was www (.) werid-abs-workout-trick (.) info

I set up my affiliate link with my affiliate ID, then forwarded with masking the domain name that i got from godaddy with my affiliate link (does that make sense)

so if you click on the .info site, it should be masked with my affiliate ID, however show www(.) werid-abs-workout-trick (.) info on the address bar.

I have tried playing around with the forwarding, but have still failed to get hops. Supposedly I got roughly 250 clicks now for 17$ and no hops show on my clickbank account!

I am worried that I will be missing out on some sales!!

Champ being worried about missing some sales you never had in the first place is the least of your problems.

You have used a redirected masked domain name, now that part is fine right up until you put that into google. ( some old guides explain to do this and are advising wrong ).

What you do here is A. you have created what could be termed as a sneaky URL redirect as indicated as what not to do in G terms, but more so B, you have created a mirror site, that looks identical to the parent site, this is also in G terms as I have done a bad bad thing.

It will only be a matter of time before they slam your campaign q core down to q1 and if your lucky you may even keep your account.

Probably best to scrap that idea before it all happens or chance it and let us know down the track how you went.

Solution build a mini site complete with the required pages needed by g terms and set up that way or choose a direct link option (which may or may not work)

direct link using your affiliate link, but mostly will not work with a low q score and also other affiliate options come into play like the one link rule, and probably why many build sites for this so they can also capture emails and send some other traffic.

check the wso section there are a few good offers in there that should help you out
