Hello again World. I have went ahead and download the trial version of Market Samurai and there is no wonder why it is getting very rave reviews. I'll try and get it when I get the cash. But I do have a question, however, on the SEO module:

When looking at a keyword to break down all of the factors of the top ten ranking, what exactly do I need to see to know that I can get on the first page of Google with an EMD and minimal backlinking? Like where do I need to see the most green at, around the backlinks areas or what? Please help.

have you watched the help videos in their training section?

the more green the better, if the back links are red, its maybe only cos of the high number of backlinks, but do an analysis and they could be mainly PR 0-3 so you can outdo them with enough PR 5 backlinks
Watch the videos or review them

First you have to understand to not take what it says as gospel.

Go and actually check the competition in google.

I checked on an ecommerce related word.. and.. it was laughable. It said that the word could be ranked easily. Without checking, I knew that it couldn't be. I went and checked.. and, the first spot had 60K backlinks.. second 10K, third, 100K. NEXT KEYWORD!

    Warmly,

How much better is Market Samurai than Google Adwords KW tool? (if it is better) I love G's tool and I don't think I can ever leave it - but...

      Anyone use both tools?

I have watched the training videos, but it's still a little confusing. I'd like to know some people's methods of finding keywords they can rank on page 1 for using MS's SEO Competition module.

    Hey Biggy,

Here is my $0.02 - Use MS to filter out all the time wasting keywords. MS is good for that.

For example, lets say you had 30-50 keywords you gathered from the GAKWT - Add them into MS and set your criteria - lets say more than 2 words long, number of "exact" searches, SEOTC, etc...

Personally I like do for "low hanging fruit" with low SEOTC. Then when you have a short list analyze them in the "SEO competition" module - Look out for 3+ PR0 sites, minimal back linking - basically gauge if the top 3 results are obtainable.

Then, sorry to say this, give them a "sanity check" in a standard broad search in Google - Because as "digidoodles" quite rightly pointed out it is not 100% perfect.

You may think, why bother with MS then? Well I think the filtering, rank tracker, and SEO competition are good features to speed things up, but not the magic answer to all your problems...
