Offline Marketers: Easy Domain Name Pickins'

One of the most effective strategies to get your offline clients to the top
of Google, is to set them up with a keyword-rich domain name and follow
these uber-simple steps. This will almost always get the domain right to
the top of page 1 in Google.

This is a super easy way to find VERY useful domain names for this
purpose.

STEP 1) Go to Expired Domain Boss (yes, my site) and type in the name of
any major or mid-sized city/town. Be sure to select .COM and "Starts With"
as options. You can repeat the process later with "Ends With".

STEP 2) Click Search, and you'll get a good list of recently expired (or soon
to expire) domain names. More likely than not, you'll find some real gems
among the domains in this list. For example, I just did a quick search on
"SanDiego". Here's what I found, almost immediately:

CleaningServicesSanDiego.com
3,600 broad searches
Competition of 987, using intitle:"cleaning services san diego"

JanitorialServicesSanDiego.com
880 broad searches
Competition of 100, using intitle:"janitorial services san diego"

VetSanDiego.com
5,400 broad searches
Competition of 1,810 using intitle:"vet san diego"

I searched quickly on "Seattle"...

SeattleVegetarianRestaurants.com
2,400 broad searches
Competition of 2,530 using intitle:"seattle vegetarian restaurants"

I could go on and on -- there are gems on just about every town/city I
look up. This just scratches the surface. Even the competition of 2,530 is
insignificant -- you can get ALL of these to the top of Google quickly.

STEP 3) Register the domain and install WP. Use the dead-easy techniques
discussed in my war room thread (link below) to get the new site up on the
first page of Google quickly. The whole process takes only minutes.

You now have a domain name at the top of G, with keywords that are
searched and generating traffic. This is an easy-to-sell domain name, as
you can show your offline prospect exactly what you can do for them.

Proven results BEFORE they spend any money with you.

They can either choose to buy this from you, or let you offer it to their
immediate competition ;-)

Some of these domains may have live backlinks pointing at them.

Unfortunately, if they've been expired long enough for the Google's
cache to expire (a month or less I think) they existing PageRank
      expires.

Still, when you put up a new site on an expired domain and start
backlinking to it, Google will notice those older links too and your
site may acquire PageRank faster than if you were starting
      from scratch.

This is all pretty speculative, since nobody here knows definitively
how PageRank works or what it does, exactly, for your search
positioning. That said: in general there is a correlation between
      Pagerank and search ranking.

It's not a very well-kept secret that you can fish around for recently
expired high-PR domains with the expired site still in cache - if it is
you can recover the site, buy the domain, set up hosting and
put the site right back up - retaining traffic and PR. The site can
then be changed and used for your own purposes. The research
part of doing this is pretty tedious though.

    Great advice and definately works!

Its similar to a product of mine known as the Rent A Site Model, its based on the same concept of grabbing a localized keyword rich domain and then renting the site out once it has a top page ranking and is generating leads.

Its a great concept and this again is another way of doing it!

    Great Post As Usual!

So if I'm not wrong, you're buying an expired domain name and using the residual traffic?

In my memory, I've seen somewhere that google clears their data for domains that has expired.

      Correct me if I'm wrong.

Guys, this does not rely on old PR or backlinks at all. Nice when it happens, but it makes no difference.

Take the domain names at face value. Like, which vegitarian restaurant in Seattle wouldn't love to own SeattleVegetarianRestaurants.com which gets 2,400 broad searches per month and you can EASILY get to the top of Google?

By the way, that domain IS available right now for anyone to grab and profit from.

    I get that.

It's the actual keywords in the domain itself that matter here -
double those keywords in your title tag and you're on your way
    to ranking well for them.
