The domain names for my web sites reflect the keyphrase I'm targeting. So for example I'm selling spinning pretty widgets my domain name would be spinningprettywidgets.com My question is this: does adding an extra word such as "the" or "best" to my domain name hurt my SEO? I know that .com domains are the best so if spinningprettywidgets.com is not available my options are spinningprettywidgets.us (which doesn't rank as well) or bestspinningprettywidgets.com (which ranks better b/c it is .com).

Am I stressing too much about this? Should I go ahead and get bestspinningprettywidgets.com or look for a different keyphrase that I don't have to add another "extra" word to?
