Can I MASS Ping a Site That Has 100+ Posts On It?

Hi,

I updated ALL the content on a site and have questions about PINGING please...

1) Could there be negative consequences if my assistant were to ping every post (over 100 posts) on my site using pingomatic.com...in one sitting? You know, ping Post 1, then ping Post 2, and Post 3 --- and on and on until ALL 100+ posts on that site were pinged that same day.

2) If pinging ALL the posts on one site one by one in one sitting could be considered spammy, how many posts per page do you think I could ping per day?

3) Is there such a thing as a MASS pinger plugin (or site) that can ping ALL posts on my sites with one button?

Thank you very much.

Steve

  • Yeap, 5-10 pings/day will keep you under the radar. To avoid building a backlog I use a WP plugin to ping my posts every time I publish something new

    • I do the same but want to re-ping everything because I'm using a plugin that kind of "uniquifies" the existing content and I'm also using MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer and that plugin apparently only pings when you first publish a post (to avoid over-pinging) unless I deactivate it.

      Thanks

  • Yes don't do 100 per sitting.. but do max 10 a day to be undetected. Hope it helps

  • Why not just ping your sitemap.

It's only one url, but leads to all your posts.

    • Oh geeeez, if it is as simple as that then that is definetley what I will do. Is it really as simple as that? Not that I don't believe you, but can someone confirm please?

      Thanks
      Steve
