A bit confused about www or not...

Hi. I know people ask how to redirect one to the other, but my question is, what is better to use? I use wordpress and by default my site's address is http://mysite.com. Should I go into wordpress and change that to http://www.mysite.com for brandibility purposes? Is there an SEO advantage to using one over another?

    I believe there's no difference other than the length of your URL.

    I just use my URLs without "www" and it works fine.

    I just had that same question today. I believe that a 301 redirect would be best but I'm not totally clear on that yet. Google has some Youtube videos on that subject that I'm gonna take a look at before making my final assessment.

    it makes no difference...will redirect you to the same site, but then if the site have long domain name..they tend to not use www...

    its up to you...just choose one

    I like it without the www, can't stand it when I hear people say the W's all the time...

    W - W - W ........ WE KNOW!

    I'm always thinking, just say EXAMPLE.COM, we know what it is.

    So I guess it depends on your audience.
