$$$Adsense Tips That Work Like a Charm$$$

Here is how I have gone from zero to something in a short period of time with Adsense.

A great way to monetize your website is through Adsense. Most people struggle with Adsense but some enjoy hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind?

THEY THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!

THEY THINK LIKE THEIR VISITORS!

Use these tips and most importantly always keep testing.

I'm sharing some tactics that have worked best for me and a few of my friends.

1. Use links on the right hand side of the page because psychologically speaking, many people will click on them provided they blend into the page because most people are right handed and it's easier to click on something closer.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea is to make the Adsense look like it's part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. If you use YouTube videos on your website, please add some Adsense at the top of the video and use the color "blue". This works really well.

5. One format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This format has the tendency to result in higher CTR. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? These ads look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

These tips are useful as long as you take action. Remember, always know who your target audience is. Try to step into their shoes and build your websites accordingly.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for me & some who continously generate a 5 figure income from Adsense. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the Ads displayed will be specially targeted to a topic that your visitor are interested in.

Please feel free to add any other amazing tips!

Cheers!!!

  • Thanks for the tips; I had been thinking about trying the right side of my blogs with a 336x280.

    • Yup, for some reason people will click Ads on the right side of the page more than they will the left side. It's a proven fact.

      All the best!

  • Some great tips out here, specially the one with adsense ads in blue over a youtube video. I have used blue ads in the bottom of the youtube video and believe me it looks like the tagline of the youtube video. So this makes visitors think tat if they click, they would see the entire video. Works well..
  • Isnt it against adsense TOS to have the adds next to pics and videos ?
  • Thanks for the tips! Will bookmark this as I'm looking into adsense lately. Never thought of the right side of the page thing! That is interesting. Is it even more effective than the top of the page?

    • It depends on the layout of your site but yes, generally it works best at the top of the page. Keep your links blue because our minds are trained to click on blue links.

      Cheers!

  • That's good stuff. Too many webmasters ignore the details when it comes to Adsense, and it's in those details that the real money is to be made. Placement, blending, and choosing good "money" niches are very important.

    • Thanks to everyone who thought my tips were helpful

Most people don't take action but if you do and see results please post it here. I've literally got this down to a science from building the website and testing what ads work best for the kind of niche it's in. But that's just Adsense. Don't forget there are many other ways you can monetise.

With a little bit time spent everyday you can truly leave it to start generating " AutoPilot" income as everyone likes to call it.

      Have a nice time!

  • It depends on the ads on your site. If you have ever done any Adwords advertising you would know that the more visible and in your face your ad is (image ads) the higher the CTR. Don't forget this when doing AdSense. If the advertisers are doing their job then it can be a good thing that the ads are visible. If the ad provides what the user wants then they will click it. I have great success with white ads with thick red border, a red arrow pointing to blue Arial text with a compelling headline.

Do not ignore the Google heatmap either. (https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...n&answer=17954). Many Adsense users have success by following this advice. My sites have 2 ad units. 1 large rectangle in the top left and 1 skyscraper on the right hand side in the navigation. The ratio of clicks "top left:right navigation" is 10:1 across many sites. I don't have it on the left hand side because it takes away from the large rectangle. I keep it there because it still generates clicks, just no where near as many.
