Description text for adsense website

I have been putting up a few adsense sites and I wanted your opinion on something.

If you are making an adsense site about a certain niche or product but you are not selling it, can you get in trouble for putting something like

"SALE NOW ON 50% OFF ALL AUTOMATIC GOLD WATCHES"

This would be in the description text that comes up in the google results to get more people clicking on your site.
However when they click on your website your not really selling the product, you just have adsense ads and 500 words about automatic gold watches.

Do many of you do this? I started doing it today but now I think it could result with my sites getting banned in the long run.

    You are confused as to how google puts up the site on
    SERPS. If that was in the meta tag, it would probably
    be ignored by google. Google does not just pull up the
    meta desription on face value. Many times, they may
    not even use it. If that was your title, well then it
    probably would show up.

    But the bottom line is that it is deceptive. Google
    does not like deception.

    I hate to do this, but, you could change it to:
    How to find gold watches at up to 50% off.

      Ok, thanks for the advice Paul.

      I will change it because it is deception lol.

      I am using a clickbump theme, there is an option to put writing in the description for the website that shows in the results.
