Micro Niche site Keyword Research made Easy...

Recently I have been noticing a whole lot of threads popping up about keyword research and people needing help with it. I have even seen a few threads where people are actually trying to charge for it!

For the most part the people I see needing help are trying to apply the Xfactor method and as anyone who uses this method for making money with adsense will tell you it is all about numbers. The more sites you create the more money you will make.

Since I love the quote "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime," I figured I would share this quick and easy method with my fellow Warriors.

First go to google.com. In the search box type in a product, any product. I will use hair products for this example. After you type in "hair products" go back and hit the space bar before the word "hair" google will suggest a few keywords for you. The next step is to type in one letter, google will then give you a long list of hair products that start with the letter of the alphabet that you have typed in. Continue doing this with each letter and you will have a long list of keyword phrases in the hair products niche. You can use this method with any product.

Now take your list and import it into your preferred keyword research tool, Google Keyword tool, MNF, Market Samurai, ect. You should have more than enough keywords to keep you busy for a while now.

If you want to take this to the next level you can literally get thousands of keywords at a time if you own scrapebox (which I feel every IMer should). Here is a quick video of how to use it to apply this method on a mass scale.

So there you have it, no need to fry your brain, or walk through the mall or departments stores with a notepad all day trying to think of keywords. This method is much easier and far more effective IMO. Hope this helps.

The scrapebox method is pretty good for finding long tails.

if you wanna do xfactor method, i suggest buying keywordResearchPro

though, their tech support sucks and the dude never updates the program.

You are on to something and actually we had this discussion a while ago.

Yes, Google suggest can be an extremely good source for keywords. There is more to it tho.

While simply getting the keywords from the browser might work, there are ways to query google suggest in more advanced ways.

I have some PHP scripts "hacked" together and also read some blueprints for applications which are in development.

The principle is "relatively" simple, it is basically recursively querying the Google suggest URL using a list of keywords with appended letters.

    Example:

    pictures of a
    pictures of b
    pictures of c
    .
    .
    pictures of zz

You make a like list of keywords and at the end you have all the letters from
a - zz, you go though the list and let Google suggest auto-complete each one.

For each line, say, "pictures of a" it could complete to "pictures of animals"...then you can take that result and do the same thing "pictures of animals a", "pictures of animals b" .... "pictures of animals zz" and so fort.

It will always complete and return the 10 most search terms matching the pattern.

NOW...the interesting thing about it is that we found that using google suggest can return HIGH SEARCH VOLUME keywords which the normal adwords/google API for some reason does not return.

This means that all normal keyword tools like MNF, Market Samurai simply dont return them even if we found extremely good keywords with the google suggest method. Those keywords simply did not even appear using any other software.

Furthermore its also great for finding and digging into long tail keywords.

It has HUGE potential and there is very few applications using Google suggest for finding keywords.

You are also right with saying that you can create huge keyword lists and then feed them into MS to check the exact stats like search volume/competition.

I read that someone made a list of 600.000 keywords all starting with "how to....", basically buyer keywords with often searched for phrases. I would say its a gold mine digging keywords like this.

I would be very interested to see what scripts you are using Goergr. This is already a brain dead simple method but with the help of such a script I one could literally have an unlimited supply of keywords.

I have also experienced EXACTLY what you are referring to in that Google suggest will return highly searched keywords that do not show up in the Google Keyword tool, MNF, or Market Samurai when you do a search for particular keywords. I figure that both softwares pull data from Google keyword tool so if it doesn't show the keywords neither will it.

What I can't understand is why or how:confused: the Google keyword tool fails to show results for such closely related keywords that have such a high search volume???

Am I missing something? I know one thing, I am very interested in hearing more about these softwares that are currently in development..

Yeah, George/Embions.. I've seen the same thing with google suggest. George, since scrapebox uses google suggest... wouldn't it be easier to just make two columns in excel? One column for the initial keyword and one for a - zz, then copy/paste in scrapebox? Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying.

    Hi...

I'm one of those Warriors who provide keyword research services. Just so you know, the majority of my customers are not people who don't know how to do keyword research themselves.

Instead, my customers are those who do know how to do keyword research, but would rather outsource that step to me in order to focus on other aspects of their business.

Keyword research can be easy....but it can also be quite tedious as well.

    Much Success,

This is a good idea. It's something I had accidentally come across a few months ago when typing in a keyword for one of my sites when all of a sudden I found that halfway through there were new ideas to try. I've found some really gems with a technique similar to this.

If that is a service that you provide then I am in no means knocking that so I really hope that you took no offense to my statement. But there are some people who attempt to take advantage of the fact that someone fairly new to IM has not learned how to do proper keyword research and instead of teaching them how they would rather charge astronomical amounts of money to provide them with a few keywords. Then when those are used what next? More money to spend.

I am not a fan of keyword research myself, in fact I do not even create micro niche sites any longer, but I felt the need to share this useful tip with others because of the amount of threads I see popping up on this issue.

Anyhow good luck to your business and much success to you also...
