I thought this would help few of you who need more traffic and backlinks. I dont know if any of you guys use this or not, so I decide to post it here, in case warriors aren't using it.

We all know article submission is a great way to build backlinks and drive targeted traffic to our blogs or websites. But, when it comes to submitting articles to article directories, we always (at least most of us) immediately think of traditional article directories, which is great. I am doing it and I am having a great success with it. But, I also am using other kinds of article sites such as ehow.

You might think ehow wont be any good for link building or traffic generation, but if you actually commit and spend some times to submit a few articles to ehow, you will be surprised with the results.

ehow is a PR8, and according to alexa it has a traffic Estimate rank of 69 with an estimated 65,369,000 monthly visits. It has a worldwide rank of 147, and is ranked 42 in the US. With that high pr and all that traffic, ehow is a great place to submit your articles to. Although you cant place links in the article body, you can place few relevant links in the resource box, which in my experience has worked much better than a lot of directories which I have submitted article with links both in the body and the resource box.

The only problem with ehow is that you cant just submit your articles the way they are. It has to be in a "how-to" format, and your article title has to start with "how to...". And also, it has to be a step by step kind of article.

I simply have developed a writing style which I write most of my articles in a step by step format. Of course in some case its not possible, but most articles can be turned into a step by step kind of post.

So, when it comes down to submitting to ehow, I just turn the title(if possible) to a "how to" kind of article. And the results are great. In some case even better than most article directories I submit my articles to.

But, thats not all!
One of the best things about using ehow, is that you can make money with those articles as well. You are paid based on performance (which I haven't really figured how exactly it works).

So, when you submit your articles to ehow, you will accomplish 3 things at once:

Build quality backlinks

Drive targeted traffic to your site
Make some extra money with those articles

note:
You can not use affiliate links.

I hope this thread can be helpful. Good luck to all.

You seem to be on a posting new "help newbies" run today with the threads you're starting.

It's good to diversify your link building but your advice might be useful to someone writing content and who doesn't know about ehow.

    Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I agree with Andy. On the other hand Ehow is a pretty good article directory to make a few bucks I have an account but they sometimes delete articles for the hell of it, which happened to me on a few occasions so I wouldn't put all my eggs in the Ehow basket.

satrap, eHow sounds like a great thing. How long does for them to review the article you write? And how long does it take the article to appear on google search results? I was just wondering if this could work great for google trends... But of course the keyword must be in the how to -range.

Well I just had these few things in my head today and I haven't been using the forum much lately, so today I had some time to ask a few question I need answers for and also post this to contribute as well.
And I agree about the diversefing thing. Its always best that way.
And yes, as I stated in the beginning of the thread, I posted these for beginners and those who dont know about ehow. I mean non of us know about everything. So, I though even if a few people can benefit from it, its still worth typing it.
By the way, thank you for answering the other thread. Your always helpful.

Sure, I would suggest putting all your eggs in one basket either. One of the reasons I posted this was to give those who didn't know about ehow another way to diversify their work.

It usually takes less than a few minuets in most cases, specially if you have a few approved articles already.
As far as showing up on Google, I dont have any specific experience, but I see ehow showing up on Google for verity of topics.
The Google trends idea is actually a good idea.

Yes, I think ehow is great! However, I see they remove "spammy" articles, is there a proper guide to do this? Like an ebook or report details with success with ehow?

Ezinearticles is pretty much bullet proof, just waiting for a good strategy report before getting into this...
