In case you missed it, Google announced this on their Adsense blog this past week:

Inside AdSense: Google-certified ad networks now available to all publishers

I track things very closely and the results on my little empire of sites has been nothing short of amazing. Many of my properties are now earning nearly double what they used to earn from Adsense on a daily basis. That's actually what made me dig into this to find out what was going on. Looks like Google is serving higher paying ads on many of my higher traffic sites through this program. Bottom line - there are now more advertisers competing for your ad space if you're an Adsense publisher.

And competition is what makes the world go 'round.

Great information They sent me an email for a final warning about a month ago saying my landing pages were not suitable and I replied saying I have used adsense since last October. I use MSN now. Google never answered the email and my account is still open. Sometimes I wish they were easier to communicate with.

    Terry,

It means that Google is now going to show ads from networks outside of their own Adwords program. The pool of ads just got a lot bigger - by default. If you do nothing, Google will now automatically serve other networks' ads. More advertisers competing for your ad space means you should see an increase in avg. payout per click. Maybe not in all cases or on all your sites, but overall the pattern should be like what I'm seeing so far. For me, that pattern has been a few days in a row now where I'm seeing about a 35% increase in per-click payouts. This is across over 100 sites and many different niches. So it's a good sample. It's not happening on all sites, but enough of them are being affected so that the net gain for me is about 35% higher income on a daily basis.

The ads still look exactly the same. So nothing will visually change for your site's visitors (at least using text links, as I do). Not sure about image ads, as I typically don't use them.

Bottom line: this is a long overdue and awesome improvement for all Adsense publishers! MORE MONEY FOR US!

UPDATE: 4 days after I noticed the implementation of this on most of my Adsense sites, the trend is increasing. This totally rocks!

For the same amount of traffic, I'm seeing about 40%-42% increase in Adsense earnings overall. WOW! eCPM is through the roof, and that's the power in this. You get more per click, bottom line.

This is the most excited I've been since the early days of Adsense.

      Nice post!

I've noticed my earnings are up as well.

I just chalked it up to me doing something right!...nope.

So to get this straight...we don't have to change anything on our settings in our Adsense accounts, right???

Correct. By default you are now being served ads from other networks, but you can't really tell because they are in Adsense format (at least the text links are). I don't use image ads except on a very few pages, so I can't say either way how they're handling those, but I suspect it's the same.

This is just good old market forces at work. More advertisers competing for the same ad space = higher payments for us. Not always, of course, but that will be the general pattern. I've been hoping Google would do this for years now. I have issues with Google on many other things, but this was a great move on their part!

UPDATE: Day 5 and the trend continues! YEAH! Looks like about a 38% increase in Adsense income overall (across about 140 sites). Not seeing it on all sites, but on the ones where I see it happening, the results are pretty amazing!

Looks like a revival of the Adsense model may be about to begin.

My earning jumped from $30 all the way to $50 and $60 but now it's back to $30 again. I don't know what's going on...

Does it happen to you zeus66?

My ecpm is basically lower than usual for my winning sites so the earning is dropping.
