This is probably the Google Dance.

Don't worry, keep building the backlinks.

Same thing happened to me today, shermanf. One of my pages that was ranking 12th in Google vanished entirely. From what I can gather, it should come back, so I'm treat it like it's still there.

    Denial is a wonderful thing

I'm not a SEO expert, but from what I know this is common. If you're going this route as to your internet marketing practices you will have to get used to this inevitable google quirk.

I think the only solution, as mentioned earlier, is to just wait and keep up with your backlink and SEO efforts.

    I wish you best luck!

Last week i was 22, today i am 38. I worked hard this week, but didn't over do backlinks. Other websites in top 30 didn't get even a new backlink this week. Can this be google dance? It's hard to believe that if you have google dance and you drop only by 16 positions. Until now i was getting better and better rankings with every week, this is first week in like 5 weeks when i go down. Thanks.

You cannot possibly know this. Links take months to appear in link trackers, they could have built millions, or just one very high trust link.

There is a lot of stuff flying in this thread.

Does "disappear" mean de-indexed, or just dropped?
      There's a huge difference.

You can't force google to like a site, or keep liking
a site. Too many people forget this.

Some sites just do more, no matter what you think.
You are not the only one who is SEOing their site.

You can't possibly know how your site ranks on a
point in time basis. It depends on the person, their
location, their settings, the way they search, the
      keywords they search, etc.

Lots of sites are made daily. Some of those sites are
actually pretty good, contrary to what you may think.
There is a little bump for new sites that just got indexed.

There is no remedy for this.

It's called GOS, "Google Obsession Syndrome."

Anyone who does frequent searches for their site is
just a little crazed. I can't even remember the last time
I searched for my sites. There are so many intangibles,
that it would make no sense to be obsessed.
