Would it be worth while trying to get this mini site to rank high?

Hi, I have never really tried proper SEO or link building, but obviously realizes the importance of this.

So, now that I have a new site (mini sales page site), I want to start building links to see if I can get it linked on Google page 1 or at least the top 5 for my keywords chosen.

The keywords I chose are all from Market Samurai and are keywords that would be possible to rank for I think.

The site is selling my new product on free traffic generation. (FreeTrafficVolcano.com - Get Super Targeted Free Website Traffic)

I don't want to give all my keywords, but one is: "free web site traffic"

Would it be possible for this site to actually get ranked if I build enough backlinks? How do I know if my onsite SEO is good enough to just try and build backlinks for it?

  • backlinks will rank a site in a low competition niche. Add competition and there are a whole lot of factors that limit the effectiveness of backlink campaigns.

Look at Google Analytics. What do they measure? Everything they measure is part of the Ranking Recipe.

Sales pages can get ranked, but it really depends on the competition. I would say to build some backlinks using your chosen anchor text and then see where it ends up in the seo landscape, then go from there.

If you optimize your blog and make some good backlinks i think it is more then possible.

Yeah, blogs tend to be easier to rank, but this is a one page sales page, so it will be harder I think.

Make alot of landing pages with each page being a keyword, then work on links to each one, all those pages pointing to your sales page.

But more factors are in place when its a competitive keyword. Domain age is a key factor.

If you have a strong will, anything is possible.

It's not going to be easy though. Such a project would probably need lots of backlinks to become an authority website (which your salespage is not).

    All the best.
