It would still be reciprocal link and wouldn't hold much weight at all.

You need to generate one way backlinks from quality sources.

i am trying to do that for seo
not for the normal users that visits my friend's website then see my link and come across it - it will work for that
but in terms of seo many said that it is a week link

  • Get links that bring in real traffic. If not you are wasting your time. You going to spend all your time trying to get in the top 3 spots or are you going to get yourself in front of people?

    So much wasted effort.

I agree with Internetmarketingiq...better to get traffic than worthless links that wont hold much weight or get you traffic guaranteed.

If you're friends website is a high authority site it will def help you out... even if they are reciprocal links.

However, I wouldn't be too concerned with acquiring a link from any one specific site when just starting out. Just get the highest quality of links you can from a variety of sources.

Focus on one way links and quality links. Try and build links where the people in your niche actually visit. From there, natural link building will occur if your site is valuable to them or interesting.

The bigger problem here D is in your mindset.

If you have checked out your top ranking competition in SEO Spyglass - even the free version - you will probably have seen that the #1 site has many hundreds (possibly thousands) of backlinks. For virtually any keyword worth ranking for, that's usually the case.

That's where you need to be at - looking at how to get the necessary VOLUME of quality backlinks to rank well.

Unless your friend has a super high PR homepage you can get a contextual backlink on, forget about one or two links here or there - you need QUANTITY (and quality of course!).

      Hope that helps.

Shoot for high weight "follow" back links. If you are linking to yourself make sure that the websites are on different IP's.

It will not carry much weight in terms of seo, however it isn't gonna hurt you in anyway. In fact reciprocal linking does have some value if the sites are relevant and actually provide your users with a good place to go for more information on the particular subject.

As for your second question a few posts up. It would be even better if the second site was on a separate class c block ip.

of course i will get links from different websites
i think my mindset will work
i can put that second domain on free hosting to make sure it has differant ip from my main website
i can then use auto blogging to let the website get bigger to attract more websites to do link exchanging with me
putting their links on that second domain and the links on there websites will be to my main website
then all the links from these websites will be one way links

i will give it a try - i think it will work like magic

Mostly if you are looking for link building, reciprocal links are just waste of time. As these links will get diluted and you will not have a proper link juice. You need to get some quality one way links from your same niche.
