SEO Help Needed! Going up against the big boys

Hey everyone,

I am calling on the help of the SEO universe

I can't seem to get my website, www.tiptopwebsite.com, higher than #9 for the term "free websites" - which I realize was a feat in itself. I am just totally brain dead with various ways to build links. I would ultimately like to be in the top 5 results (who wouldn't right?).

I am doing syndicated press releases, links on high PR profile sites, Linkvana, articles, everything that I can think of.

I realize I am going against some major players but I was just hoping someone could shed some light on why I am struggling so much.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best thing to do is not so much do what your doing now, but look at the sites that are above you, look how many links they have going or other factors such as your domain age, page rank, links, etc.

Something simple can show you alot of things is some software called market samurai, good and simple, the free trial gives you everything for about 15 days.

If that doesnt work click my signature link and contact me on my email. I work with 300 keywords per site.

      See ya

At this point, I can only recommend building more backlinks to your website. It's the best way to get an SERP boost.

As of now you are #8.

I suggest you use SENuke to build atleast 2 link wheels per day! Don't bother if you face the Google Dance. Eventually, you can land in #5.

By the way, it's awesome to see a fellow warrior or #1 page for such a KW. Congrats.

You're doing all of the right things, you just need to crank it up a bit.

Additionally, have you analyzed your competitors backlinks at all?

You will probably find that most of the sites on the front page will have some links from the same sources and it's a good idea to try and get those same sites linking to you, too.

Try to replicate a lot of their link sources in addition to what you're currently doing.

not sure if you have tried this but since it appears that you are running a legit site (not a sales site) have you contacted other sites that list resources for webmasters? Maybe you can get a link from some of 'em.

Too many IMers get wrapped up in doing things a certain way due to the nature of their sites and the limitations of where they can expect to get backlinks from.

If you run an honest site that isn't looking to build a list or get adsense clicks then other honest websites will view you favorably and give you a link if they think you offer something of value to their readers.

backlink packs, article sites, press releases and good 'ol blog spamming are fine but it's where webmaster go when they can't get backlinks the honest old fashion way. If you have a great site that people want to link too then you don't need to rely on these methods as much. Last time I checked wikipedia wasn't using angela packs.

Check the link in my signature....there are a few ideas on the blueprint you could be using if you aren't already....just a few are listed below.

      -More social bookmarking
      -Creating your own link network
-Submitting an RSS feed to RSS aggregators
-Syndicating content to social network platoforms
      -Blog comments
      -Reciprocal linking

Also from scanning the page you could do a few things "On-site" to boost your ranking. ie. Include your main keyword in an H1 header. There's an Onsite blueprint in the link below as well.

      Good luck!

Have you tried building backlinks through youtube? Maybe do a weekly web design tutorial with a link to your page in the description.

    "Rinse and repeat"

Hire some people to help you with the link building and scale up the number of links that you're putting up everyday.
Also, market samurai and SENuke would be good investments at this point.

      Linkwheels are good
      Article marketing
      RSS feeds
      Social Bookmarking
      Videos
      Press Releases
      High Profile backlinks

Find out what they are armed with in the way of backlinks.....it's just a matter of out doing what ever they have for their site...if they have 100 PR4 links then you will need 101 PR4 links....be sure to develop a well rounded portfolio of backlinks and keep the diversity high.

What I do is to just keep plugging away until you out rank them....a niche like that is going to take a long time to outrank if the competition is stiff.

From a quick glance at the competition you're going up against sites like Weebly. That site alone has 5,080 backlinks in Google that are shown....they probably have 3 times that amount that are not listed due to algorithm security purposes.

      Weebly: PR 8
      Backlinks: 5,080 listed in Google

If you looking for quicker results you might want to rethink their tear level within this particular niche...maybe dig a little deeper.

        Here's a tip.

You have graphics. Those graphics have words.
But, sadly, google cannot read graphics. What
you have as a graphic needs to be worded using
text. Nowhere in your content is free website.
Your title is, but you need to include all the words
        in the graphic to text.
