Is This The End Of Forum Profile Link Building?

I have stumbled upon some forums which just block me at the end of registration by giving the following message:

I use SLD to build links, but i also tried registering with browser and nothing.

You can try registering by yourself here:
http://forum.iphoneworld.ca/register.php

Why it appears and why it thinks that i am spammer?
How to overcome this problem?

    • But it somehow knows that i am spammer. How? Or is it just regular message inclining that administrator doesn't allow new registrations?
  • I suspect they use few type of method to determine your action:

    1. The forum software place a cookie in your browser - clear the catch
    2. The forum track your ISP IP - Use proxy server
    3. The forum banned all free email service - Register a domain (.com or .net seems to work for me) and get a private email account.

Try these or just skip that site!

    • Wow....it's totally good Idea. This kind of forum might been spam too fierce by the spammer, so that they change the format to protect their forum site.
I heard that Kok Choon will be launching the link building automation software soon. It's so excited to wait it born. We can now build link by our self.
  • Maybe its your ip address or the email you are trying to use. If you are a spammer and you say you are, that may be how it knows. You may be on lists all over the net which they use to verify a clean spam record first.
  • It may have had something to do with a link in your Signature / profile info.
  • If you are not using proxies when creating links then this is your problem. You should also randomize your user names.

    • I had several of such sites on my way. And what if more and more forums will use that?

      kkchoon,

I use SLD to build back links. How can i clear cache there?
      • [1] reply
  • What is SLD?
  • THere are lots of different forum out on the net and you can always find another.
  • Run a Google search for your email you used to register.

You should probably see a lot of spam complaints.

P.S This is just my guess.
  • Perhaps they have figured out that the spam is coming from people who go directly to the register page rather than browsing the forum first. The implication of a direct jump would be that the spammers are working from a list and using the most efficient jump.

It seems like it should be simple enough for the board to determine how the applicant arrived at the page and then ban those that fit the profile of "working a list."

Either way, something is going on that is directly related to you or the way you arrive at the page, because when I examine the member roster, there are a number of profile signatures that are obviously advertising.

The signatures all appear to be "nofollow" btw.

  • I would recommend that you find other sites to link build and be sure to read the rules and not do anything that it does not seem others are doing and getting away with.
  • Regardless of all of this though it is not the end of forum link building if that is what you are asking in any way. This is just one forum that you had an issue with, there are plenty of other forums out there that you can build links with.
  • Boris Yo, the sky is falling and the Martians are coming. It's the end! It will never again work! You are doomed!

    NOT

    Just move on.
  • It has to be either ip or email. I tried the sites you sent onto me and they worked fine.

The thing is that even if a couple of them dont work it doesnt make much difference. We all expect to lost some of the links anyway .

  • I guess it was an IP block or a Region block where in they receive a lot of spammers. If you are on that region then sorry for you, try to look on other forums.

    • Where do i get a list of proxies?
  • I see a lot of forums built on the same platform and they all look alike. I wonder whether the forums have some type of connected security, and when you register through one that thinks you may be a spammer, it triggers a response with other forums?

    Just a thought.

    • Yes there is a plugin in that does that. Spammers and profile link droppers get reported to a central database, that the forum will then block the user from registering at other forums.

I hope you all realize that more and more forums are now reporting profile link droppers to Google via the spam report tool as using this method of building links. Google have a blog post about not doing this, so assume that they either have or are about to have some scalable method to detect this type of link building and discount it.

I have a network of forums and we report up to a dozen sites a day via this. Profile link builders are low lifes and are increasing the work of forum administrators and moderators in banning and deleting them.

    • I use a myriad of tools plus I hire people to make accounts.

As far as the tools, some of the ones I use are...

(1). AAS Automatic Article Submitter by Milan, who is a Warrior (AAS has a learning curve and you will have to go through the process of vetting the database, but once you're done you will zoom! and I mean zoom!)
      (2). SEO Link Dominator
      (3). Bookmarking Demon
      (4). RSSBot
      (5). PressBot
      (6). PadBot

The bot products are by fellow Warrior: View Profile: John Rogers

Also to keep track of all of my Affiliate, CPA and other money stream accounts, I use, AffiliateManagerPro. You can get it free if you are a War Room Member, http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...anagerpro.html

Some people use Roboform, but I don't believe it has a Proxy option and therefore is not designed for high volume Internet Marketing.
  • It seems good to me.

I am not sure about anyone else but I always set the visitor message and the forum signature and then make a post on the forum as well. May as well use that time for more than just a profile link
  • There is a lot of forum out there. If you really want to join that forum, contact them, so that they know you are human.
  • I just tried registering on that site today and got no error message like that.
  • "but you are not going to build a long term business that can stand any test of time with auto spam tools. "

Not so sure of that. I'm using a program I made years ago that automates a ton of processes and it's well stood the test of time I think the general user wants a sure thing and that these tools CAN be abused. That's what separates the saavy user from the rest of the sheep. For every action there is a consequence.

    • You aren't using whatever you are using as a spam bot judging by the backlinks in your signature. If you did you would have much more backlinks and different kinds of backlinks.
    • Hey Mike, just so you know... here's how real military men speak... have a ha ha ha ha ha... laugh

Moving on to more important issues...

WHY??? Why contact them when there's a gazillion forums out there? Maybe go back and re-read the posts from Joe118 in post #20, mikkosant in post #10 and jazbo in post #8. Those guys know what they heck they're talking about; this is a numbers game so play the numbers!

That proves its a numbers game!!!

Now those are Words of Wisdom from a TRUE IMer!!! Kudos Kael41

  • Just skip this forum and register on others.. But do these profile links have any link juice or weight? I haven't seen any rankings increase after using these type of links.
