i know that backlinks from high pr sites will increase your pr.. but does it matter what the anchor text is on these sites?

Code:
eg. <a href='yoursite'>TEXT</a>
#increase

    Hi shounakgupte,

If all you are trying to do is increase your PR then the anchortext doesn't matter. However, if you are trying to rank for a particular keyword then yes, the anchortext is very import. But again, only if you want your web page to appear in the search results will the anchor text matter.

Generally no but PR shouldn't be the goal. Ranking for a a particular keyword term is what brings you traffic and the anchor text is extremely important for ranking for a search term.
