When Is The Next Google Pagerank Update?

I hear it is right around the corner, like the beginning of April, but I am not sure. I dont think anyone knows for sure unless you work for Google.

Anyone have any pagerank info for when the next Google update will take place? Are you basically hearing the same info I am?

  • Well, i had lunch with Larry and Sergey today and according to them the next Google PR update will be on the.....
    Just kidding, i think most know by now that G is continually updating PR, but there seems to be a major update about every quarter. And yes the word on the street is that the next update will be early April.

  • Over the past few years the major PR update is performed each 1/4. January, April, July, October. So we should see the next one in the first week or so of April.

    But also note minor PR updates are performed by G on a regular basis.
  • You have already answered your question.. i.e you can't predict the google's next page rank update until you work for google.
  • Unless you are looking to flip sites the PR updates aren't anything to look forward to. Keep your eye on the SERPs.

  • I hear people saying "PR is meaningless", but backlinks from higher PR sites are 'stronger' than backlinks from lower PR sites.

    • Hahaha, you should just concentrate of creating new unique content, and building links to the website, instead of when the Google PageRank is updating.

  • Haven't noticed anything on my side either for a while even though I got some good high PR links to my sites lately. Oh well
  • I thought page ranks were updated almost every other day or so. Is there really a set date each month they do this?
