Optimising Content For SEO

Hi.

If I am trying to rank for 'Gucci Handbag', is it best the title just and the heading (through H1) just says 'Gucci Handbag' or should I add other related keyword to it?
It does have some stiff competetion with over 500,000 pages and I am figuring its not not going to be straight forward getting to page 1.

Cheers.

  • In terms of SEO, the more exact match the better, in all these places:

    1. Title
    2. H1, H2
    3. Bold Content
    4. Domain name
    5. URL

However, just doing on page stuff won't help you rank this keyword - too much competition!

You need a lot of patient and backlinks, usually I would ask people who want serious traffic and money - go for long tail keywords!

Being brave is the first mistake of all newbie... Use 4 words and above long tail keywords, these keywords would easily rank and get traffic!

    • Start with a Longer Tailed search term which includes your main term. Then you can build up traffic from these whilst working your way towards the big prize.

      Here's some suggestions

    • 6. Also make sure to put it no more than twice in the Description

Also, like Kok Choon says, you need to try a longtail keyword, getting to #1 in the SERP's is going to be really tough otherwise
