If you want to build websites then you should really invest in hosting and build your own real estate. Even if it's not against the TOS now Google could change their mind at anytime and all your hard work goes down the plug hole.

i know but i really like how blogspot blogs rank in serps and also not having to pay for hosting and domain names are a plus...on top of that being able to interlink them is a real big plus...search for make money online check whos up there first...but is anyone doing this? i really wouldn't see the problem if i have good content..i seen people with autoblogs on blogger and they are still up there.

Well, to be honest, I think you answered your own question by starting this thread.

If you were sure your blog wouldnt be pulled then blogger would be good but as it stands, you cant be sure and that is why you posted here.

No one can be really sure and for the cost of hosting your own blog, the risks arent worth building a business on blogger.

Even a dot info site will only cost you a dollar plus hosting.

If you REALLY want to use blogger, just use it untill youve made some money and then use that money to transfer and host your own wordpress site.

There are people on the warrior forum who can do the transfers for you.

Edit: Not sure if you need your own registered domain with blogger to be able to transfer or if you can do it with a standard blogspot name.

blogger is good for links and such, but not as popular as wordpress. you could just build micro-niche sites linking to your money site, for free. wordpress unhosted is free to use and you can build multiple wordpress blogs.

  • I just had a blogger account pulled after 4 years as it was marked as spam, and I have no recourse for getting all of the articles back.

So if you think about a $6/month hosting account is too expensive, then you're not paying yourself enough.

Get cheap hosting, and then use blogger to build mini-sites (ie link wheels) to promote your main site.

My question is how does a blog get by for 4 years and then all of a sudden draw the ire of the deletion button and get removed?

If I may ask, what was this blog about?

Ok guys I get tired of everyone giving negative opinions of Blogger blogs when the question does not pertain to that opinion in the first place. We all know that their are risks when building a blogger blogs ok. The question is do they work not if their are any risks involved.

Their are risked involved when you build wordpress blogs are any other type of websites on the internet. I mean you run the risk of not ranking so what do we do not build wordpress blogs.

Whether a person wants to start a blogger blog or any other blog is their business decision. We are all CEO's of our own companies and if he have made that decision then help him out by answering his question.

      thanks

        Well put lonniewa2....

I think building small micro-blogs with unique content on blogger or wordpress linking to your money site is a no brainer. I try to build a network of blogs/micro-sites supporting the site I want all the Traffic to go to.

It helps on link building and search ranking, but if you're not using unique content then I would be careful, but if you are...then I wouldn't hesitate on building them on Blogger.

    ----old post, i know------

I've been seriously thinking about doing this lately.
Hosting is FREE. Just invest in buying a domain for that blog/mini-site (what is it? like $10/year--cheap)

I don't plan on selling directly to visitors rather make money off of Adsense, Chitika, Clickbank and Amazon Affiliates.

Use their PAGES function for your pages and set it up to look like an actual site!
I'm thinking of trying this out because i run a regular blog (on Blogger) that's doing very well (traffic-wise).

I do have a question though: If for some reason that mini-site does get taken down, would they take down ALL of my blogs under that account just because they think something is wrong with one site?

    UPDATE;;;;
actually, I'm realizing there is one problem...that Blogger bar at the very top. You're supposed to keep it there... well, guess I need to just do it the regular way (or Wordpress?)
