I am in the business of SEO, we have many clients that are happy with our SEO top ranks. My question is do you pay for it? or do you look for links all day etc etc?

Our average client has over 1000 page 1 rankings for different keywords they want or need. Can you really do that on your own or do you hire?

Seems like a break down between the Sheep and the Wolves....
Brick and Mortar customers are the Sheep and have to pay for it.
Seems like most users here would be the Wolves though.

Pay Based on Revenue is probably the most fair pricing model, but also the most tricky to implement. It requires a fair amount of trust on the part of the SEO, believing that the client will fully disclose sales and revenue.I see the various types of PPP a bit differently. Pay-per rankings is the best of them IMHO, as rankings are what the SEO can control the most. The SEO has no control over product quality, and so many aspects of conversion.

I know SEO myself very well , so don't need expensive company to tell me what to do.

With my knowledge it's easy to outsource service and explain exactly what to do.

Yeah I just hire people for cheap. Then explain exactly what they have to do. Just follow my instructions.

This is because i have been in the industry for a long time however and understand SEO well.

There is an abundance of tools available so you can basically automate everything or outsource the things you can't automate.
