SEO For Customers-How To Keep Them Separate?

I wanna start offering basic keyword search for my customers. But how do I help all without building competition?

For example. I have 2 tailors who do the same thing. Nothing is different beyond their location. So how do I optimize each without giving hurting them.

So if I offer keywords Ohio Tailor-Why Choose Organic
Can I then offer Tailor B. Ohio Tailor-Organic Fibers Don't Cause Cancer.

Both after same keyword. Do I just have to always make sure I differ the info after the dash. This is easy with 2 clients in same field but what if I get 50 in the same field.

This is a basic example. I hope you get the idea. Just don't wanna step on toes.

Thanks for all your help in the past. Hope this question is riddled with "WTF?"

Well we have alot of clients and many want many different things, but whats the harm in having both clients websites on the same page for a keyword or keywords. It also maybe best to let them know where you stand on things. By the way I have a great reseller program for my SEO keywords, let me know if your interested and you can make some money without doing the work and we optimize 300 max keywords per site. My email is in my signature link since I cant PM yet, til 50 posts.

    Have a good one!

Honestly I would not do it. No way No how!!

There is no way I would take more than one client for the same keyword. Even if you could be 100% impartial and not favor one over the other the appearance of doing it is bad in my opinion. How would you prove to the client in second place that you did as good a job for him as you did for the one that came in first.

That kind of thing gets you a bad reputation. Just not worth the money in my mind.

I have a couple of clients in very similar niches but if one of them wanted to add a set of keywords that I was already doing for someone else I would turn them down and tell them why.

  • I'm with ARVolund, part of the sales process we use for local clients is this:

Hey, Joe the Plumber, want to buy SEO from us? We'll rank you #1 for Plumbers in Ohio? No... Okay, we'll call your competitor, and get them ranked #1.

Taking 2 clients in the city, in the same vertical is not worth the time or effort, you're just going to get your clients pissed.
