Hello guyz, this is my first post here at the warrior forum. I started IM not too long ago and this is my first actual plan to get a buck online. It is adsense related so I decided to post it here, and hopefully you guys can tell me what you think about it.
For the last 3 weeks I have been studying Adsense tactics of all sorts, some complicated, some very easy and I think I settled for the easiest, that being Geoff Shaw's Hot Trends Guide. The method implies building blogs around a Google Hot Trends topic and using social bookmarking to promote. Unique content will be used of course.
I am a newby to adsense but I made some sort of progress in the last few days in understanding some concepts and strategies, and I think I can add my own twist to this method.
So I got to work without much planning, only a mind map and a will to succeed.
What I did?
- picked a template and redesigned it to fit my needs it's still under construction
- added a breadcrumbs trace, meta tags, tagcloud, adsense
- created privacy policy and about me page
- some other Search Engine Optimization modifications to optimize it the best that i could
- submitted sitemap to major SE and pinged blog
- optimized header and other minor stuff
Bottom line is I spent 6 hours customizing and modifying and I managed to get to some result. The loading time sucks and IE screws my RSS red shiny button and there are a couple of more stuff I would do.
It doesn't look like much but it's decent. I also posted one rewritten article and did some social bookmarking on it as you can see. I am looking to post 3-4 articles daily and bookmark them and probably submit some short spinned copies to major article directories - I'll probably outsource later as I also work 9 hours/day.
I also linked a Twitter account to the blog and will probably create a Facebook group once I get more familiar with it.
Now I got to the point where I don't know if what I am doing is right or VERY wrong so any feedback will be much appreciated. I want to know what can be improved and what really sucks - I am mostly interested in ad placement and sizing. I am also kind of confused because doing forum marketing or yahoo answers for a news blog seems stupid.
I know and I probably will move to WP asap if I see any good results.
