Off Niche links still works??

Dear Warriors,

One of my friend told me that, Getting backlinks from irrelevant niche for a website helps to improve SERP on Google. However, it requires some more hard work compare to getting backlinks from relevant niche sites. Is that true? What do you guys say? I am confused....

For me, I always stick more with relevant backlinks rather than irrelevant backlinks.

  • yes links from irrelevant sites can improve serps. In my experience it requires less hard work.
  • It's entirely possible that unrelated backlinks have slightly less effect than related ones but if they do then I've not seen it or it's so small you can't tell.
  • if you can get a link from whatever site, get it. A link is going to help you, even if it is a small amount. A link is a link is a link.
