When you write an article and submit it to an article directory, do you submit the URL to Google or do you just wait for Google to find it?

  • You just wait for google because the article directory is already indexed by google.

  • What if Google finds somebody else's article first that it considers similar to yours?

if that happens, google WONT reject yours, or lower your rankings, It depends how much better that article has been optimized (seo etc) and also if that article has backlinks pointing to it.

You can outrank a similar article to yours in google by pointing some links to your article URL, which I have heard many warriors do.

  • I've had an article rank on the first page, but right under the first listing in the section "more from EZA", so i built a few links and our articles switched positions and i stuck my flag in the sand and claimed that searched term "landonia"
  • If you want to index it a little faster, go to identi.ca and just post your link. a lot of the times it will index within minutes. literally like 2 minutes its pretty sweet
  • my suggestion in this case would be wait for Google to index
  • No..i've never submitted it to google because Article Directory site usually has hig PR and I think the article willbe indexed soon..Thx for sharing..
