Hey i am currently ranked #2 in google for a keyword that is searched 9,900 times and rank 5 in bing for that keyword. Although I am getting no clicks for that keyword and there is no real increase in the traffic I am getting. Any Ideas? could Googles keyword tool be giving me wrong info?

By the way which tool are you using to track these traffic..you better check the stats from your host provider itself.

Yeah. If you're not seeing any traffic from being ranked for a keyword like that - very strange.

    To say the least.

Obviously that keyword isn't getting that much traffic. remember, the tool is just a TOOL.

If you want to know how much traffic a keyword really gets, set up an Adwords campaign and bid on that term in [exact match]

Maybe your title and description meta tag scares people.

    Two reasons :

1 - The keyword tool might be off.

2 - Your description and title are not good enough and you lose CTR.

would you like to share that keyword here so we can see it in google and then tell you why you are not getting the traffic.

Turn off "Google web history". If you haven't turned it off, your site will go up listed on page one, because Google knows you search for your own site often.
