Keyword Domination - 1st spot on Google [HELP]

by nimitkashyap 17 replies
Hello warriors,

I have decided to rank for a keyword, now I am planning my link building strategy in order to rank for that keyword. The keyword i am trying to rank has 30,000 searches per month according to Google keyword tool (used exact match)

Sites already ranking

1st site - Domain PR 7 , page which Ranking has PR 4 (optimized for that keyword)
2nd site - domain PR 7 , page which is ranking has PR 4 (optimized for that keyword)
3rd site - Root domain is ranking has PR 3 (optimized for that keyword)
4rth site - domain PR 5, page which is ranking has PR 0
5th site - domain PR 6, page which is ranking has PR 3
6th site - aka wiki page

I want to rank number 1 for that keyword, commercial value of this keyword is also very high. I have $1000 budget just to get my site's page rank for that keyword and following is the link building strategy that i think will work.

25 blog posts on high PR blogs - cost $500 approx (quality links)
300 profile backlinks - cost $200 approx
10 Link wheels - Cost $100 approx
Article submission, bookmarking, commenting etc - $200

I am seeking the answer of the following questions

Do you think link building strategy is good enough to rank me on the 1st position for that keyword?

also, don't forget to share your tips, tricks and suggestions that will help me get rank number 1 for that highly competitive keyword.

Regards
Nimit kashyap

Man... if you want to be #1 for that, you're going to have a hard time. The domain is a PR7 AND the actual page is PR4 AND is optimized for the keyword?!?! How many backlinks does the site have? All I know is that your $1000 budget doesn't mean squat. It will take a lot of time to beat the site currently ranking #1. When I say time... I mean definitely more than a year. Maybe a couple. I would suggest taking that $1000 budget and looking at your PPC options for that keyword.

Not convinced...i have studied the backlinks of the site which is ranking firstand i know i can do better than that.

That site is optimized for on page (not for off page ). The site has got good authority and that's why i think its ranking.

Google can be unnecessarily slow, even if you do a lot of off page optimisation for that web page, you have to wait for a long time before you see your website at the top, I am currently working on off site optimisation for a page for a keyword, I know I have done better that those ranking number 1,2 and 3 for that page but I am still not yet at the top, I know I will get there but it will take some time

You can give it a shot but you also have to be patient with the ranking as Google can be very slow

I also want to tell you that the site which is ranking number one has 400 backlinks from most pr 0 sites or some from Pr 2 sites. also, very few of them used the keyword as an anchor text.

So now if i get 25 blog post on high PR blogs (PR4 To PR5) using the exact anchor text perform all the other methods of link building that i have stated above.

    What are my chances?

Like I said, what you are proposing is not enough to take over #1. You can believe me or not. That site is optimized on page (like you said) and the site is a high authority site (like you said). The "domain" is PR7 and the actual "page" is PR4. Most people would love just for their main domain to be PR4. Good luck.

I take your advice that it would be very hard for me to get the 1st spot for that keyword.

But, i really need to get the first spot for that keyword and i can stretch my budget upto $3k. Now can you pls just guide me how should i spend my money and what link building strategy should i follow in order to rank.

Also, how much time do you think it will take to rank for that keyword if I double or even triple my link building efforts that i have mentioned?

Sounds like you are insistent on going ahead.

If it were me and I was adamant to go ahead I would build a dozen link wheels ( advanced wheels to leave no footprint).

Outsorce a ton of articles for your own site.

Build good internal anchor link structure on your site.

Outsource a lot of articles for directorys.

Outsource someone to build a ton of HIGH quality profile links and then have them indexed using various methods.

But and its a big but ..... Im no expert .... only saying what I would do.

forget paying so much for backlinks

before you spend $100 bucks for backlinks, check out these sites

    wlmarketing.com
    contentcrooner.com
Link Building| advanced link building | Link building services
getarticlesdone.com (for press release writing distribution.)
    linkwheel.net
List of Article Directories - submits your article to top 50 article directories for 50 bucks.

sometimes it takes 2 articles, a few submissions, some bookmarking and you're number 1.

sometimes you have to hit it hard and do 2000 directory submissions over 5 months, submit 10 articles and drip feed each articles for consistent backlinks, submit press releases, use traffic geyser for video submissions.

check out those services, remember to drip feed your article submissions, get some main articles written, and also order 300 word blog posts to keep your site updated with content and post 1 blog post every couple days. a good well balanced SEO campaign should cost you under 500 bucks and that would do well in some pretty hefty competition.

check out all your options and i highly recommend you to check out the SEO method by david Jenyns. hi video course has helped me so much and actually works.

    good luck

pm me so I can give you more details because I dont have the time to get into it but i had to reply to this post because I can help you.

You've left out quite a bit of information.

The page rank of a page is not a ranking factor, the page rank of the pages linking to said page, is a ranking factor.

So, how many backlinks do the currently rankings have? What sources are they from? What quality are they? Is the anchor text in the majority of their backlinks the same as the keyword you're targeting?

Also, can you elaborate on "optimised for keyword" means? What specifically have they done to be optimised for that keyword?

Its a good thing to do and I know Google still gives high importance if you have keyword rich domain name but I cant do that i have site with around 150 articles and i update it almost everyday with fresh content. I just want one of my site's page to rank number one for that keyword.

The page which is ranking has 400 backlinks only 30% of the backlinks have the "keyword in the anchor text"

Most of the links which are coming from external sites to that page don't even have PR 1.

Remember when they have a huge budget of $50,000 monthly and you have $3000 overall, it can be tricky to get higher than them. I don't know the exact info but sometimes you must understand you wont get that number 1 ranking unless your doing way more than them, most of the time spending monthly.

This is not the issue, since they are not focusing only for that keyword. they have very huge site and has thousands of pages indexed.

If you can't be number one, at least you can be number 2, I encourage you to give it a shot, it can be done

If you want get to 1st page , first your page must have rich information than competitor, the second instead of spread at one page of pr4,5 to get back links , try to contact with owner of main site and introduce about your site. May be they like to add your link to interesting link at their site and you will boost to high rank on SE. And others I already see some page with pr1 and a little back links but it get high rank on Google.
