As the title suggests, does anyone use RSS submission/pinging in order to get their profile backlinks indexed? If so, what type of results do you get?

I am aware there is BB and BIE, however if bulk RSS submission/pinging works, I dont see the point in investing.

For profile backlinks, RSS submission and pinging will not get you any better results. Pinging and RSS is for new content - particularly blog posts, products, new articles etc.

I am doing a test at the moment using BIE for some of my backlinks and RSS feeds and pinging for the rest. I am having better results with BIE as i am blasting my web2.0 sites every 10 minutes with links which are then pinged. I have found recently though that it is taking a longer time for links on my web2.0 sites to get indexed than it was six months ago. Maybe Google is getting wise to the fact that a lot of people are doing this so are somehow penalising us for doing this. I used to do everything manually because i was sceptical of all these automated tools, but now I do not think that you can get the results that you want to achieve without some of them.
