Large Backlink Report

I use SEO Elite to run backlink reports so I can analyze my competitions backlinks. But its not geared up to do large reports. Anything more than 1000 backlinks and it becomes a pain the the butt.

Most my competitors have around 20k backlinks and I want to do some detailed research.

Is there a software like seo elite but can handle more links?

  • You can try to check those backlinks over yahoo, just type link:http://www.yourdomain.com and it will show all the websites that are linking to you..

    • I think SEO Spy Glass can handle a large amount of backlinks with great detail, you can try it out for free.
  • SEO spyglass is indeed the tool that you need.
  • I had a quick look at video on SEO spyglass, I think it's also limited to 1000 links. Thinking about it, I dont think its possible to run a larger report as the search engines only show first 1000 links.

    • The free version of Spyglass is limited to 1100 links but the paid version will show all of them and analyse all of them. There is no 1000 link limit.

  • Haven't tried SEO Spyglass myself, but have heard very good things from a number of people, some of whom are in incredibly competitive niches.

    Yahoo Site Explorer only gives you 1k of your competitors links and is the source that many of these other software programs use to get their information. It's a nice starting point for many, but no where near a complete solution.
  • Yeah most of the software out there obtained results from yahoo's site explorer. Right now it is the largest one out there and shows 1000 max.

    You can assume that a lot of your competitors are probably obtaining site wide backlinks to reach numbers like that. SEO Elite is a best and I use it all day long when building backlinks! The only crappy thing is that pretty soon Yahoo site explorer will close down and none of the software or methods to find backlinks will be even a fraction as useful.
  • This is why SEO spyglass is the most powerful tool there is for backlink analysis. As Pat mentioned you have to purchase at least the pro version if you want to reap the full benefits of the software though. If you have a few extra bucks to shell out then enterprise is even better.

    As you can see, there really are no limitations on this tool and the reports give any details that you may need or can possibly think of. SEO elite is not even in the same class as spyglass IMO. It really is a must have..
