Site Page Rank Question.

Hi warriors,
Recently my 2 month old site Page Rank jump to 3. Its on #8 on google and the daily traffic i recieved is around 25-30.I am very confused and dazed as some of the sites which i built on the same month are still on zero.
So my question are ..
1. How did it become PR 3 in such a short span of time
2. Who gives the page rank to website. Is it google?
3.What are the criteria that is necessary to increase the PR.

I would appreciate if some warrior can reply to my questions

  • Go check on the links you created for that site and you will have your answer. Look carefully, because those links have some uniqueness that google loves.

    Yes, Google is in charge of page ranks.

    Continue building links or that pr3 can become a pr0 if you should stop.

    • Just a quick question, i notice some bugger copying my content thou with some modification but the layout,design and content is almost similar. Probably the changes are just some rephrasing, adding of text and different colour theme.

      Could this also affect my page rank? and if it does, what can i do about it? noticed my pr dropped by 1 for my main page. i even have an inner page that outranks my main page.

  • You must have done a little bit more with that site.... have you submitted the other sites? Most likely you have more back links on the one with traffic.

      For the backlinks- i did high profile backlinks, around 20 do follow blog commenting and around three articles submitted to ezine. But thats what i did to the other sites as well.

    My opinion is that google algorithm might be very complex. They must be having different type of factors in ranking different sites as well as giving PR.

    • The work done by you is really amazing...The rank provided to your site is..given by the google...My dear friend as the keyword and the back link created by you for your site is unique and appericiated by the google...so keep work on that...your site shows you the good result in google.
  • You can check on the backlinks you have got on this site.

    They probably are quality backlinks and deliver link juice to your site. Your other sites might hae not that amount of quality links as this site.
  • Pagerank is a formula which one is google use to indexing websites. Pagerank is one of a factor for ranking. Pagerank fully depends upon quality of links.

    Suppose if ur webpage(examply PageA) have totally 1 website link (for examply PageB) means Your Page rank is

    PageRank of PageA = (1-d)+ d[Pagerank(PageB)/Outbound links Count(PageB)]

    Here " d " is a damping factor it will zero or one.
