making profit in adwords

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how i can make a profit using adwords?

I have not started the campaign yet but from research i have worked out it will cost me about 40p per click to be on the first page but i am only making £10 profit on product so i will be out of pocket if the statistics of a 1% conversion are correct.

Has anyone else had this problem if so how have you overcome it?

Thanks everyone

  • Hia UK Massive...

Adwords is in the Advanced marketing arena.
It is really only worth advertising on Adwords when you have a high ticket item on the back end of your sales funnel. Otherwise be wise with your cash...
If you don't know what to to at first, you can spend alot of cash pretty rapidly with Google. Do your in depth Keyword research and only bid on Buyers keywords...

Over all I would research another area with a high ticket item...
I currently work with a great company and am also here in Dorset Uk. PM me if you would like further info...peace

I do agree with you when you say you should have a good back end marketing funnel inplace especially to maximise profits, I don't agree with you when you say it's a waste of time advertising on adwords if you don't,

I make very good money promoting affiliate products where I get none of the backend profits, plus I manage accounts for clients and they are all very proffitable with no backend in place.
  • Wow only a 1% conversion? that's very low, I am always way higher than that. Always split test every aspect of your landing pages and you should be able to get a much higher conversion rate.

Also make sure that the ads the prospects are clicking on to get to your site are highly relevant to the page you are directing them to, not doing so could badly effect your conversion rate.
