Does Changing Hosts Affect SEO?

I am about to transfer several domains to a different host.

Will it have any affect at all on SEO, as I've done alot of work on linking/ranking for these sites.

Are there specific things I should be doing before?

It *is* a factor, but of the 250+ alleged ranking factors which decide ranking its PROBABLY a very, very minor one without any significant effect.

it doesn't affect upto great extent, however changing host causes little downtime that could impact on your rank, apart from this if your keywords and content are pure then no there wont be much effect on your seo rank...
