How Do I Get Adsense To Show Only Ads That Contain A Specific Keyword?

I have a small niche blog that focuses on a product that has a specific 3 word key phrase. I have gotten it to the top of Google's 1st page, but the adsense ads that show are not targeted enough to get clicks.

The results on page 1 of Google show PPC ads that are focused on my 3 word phrase, but they don't show in my adsense blocks on my site.

I have placed the <!-- google_ad_section_start --> and <!-- google_ad_section_start_end --> HTML code around 1 instance of the keyword phrase in my content, but no ads containing the keyword show up.

I have just added that code to every occurrence of the keyword in the content, but don't know how long it will take for it to take effect.

If my site showed ads that contained the keyword, it would definitely get more clicks. The product is often sold out on Amazon and is scattered around on various e-commerce sites. It is a general phrase, not a trademarked name.

How can I get my ads to be super targeted to my keyword phrase?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Maybe they are advertising only on Google Search. And not on the network..

Not sure about this, it might be bad idea. Try inserting start tag before post title, and end tag after the post content.

    Don't we all want that?
Also, keep adding more related content, and keep adding backlinks to your site.

      By posting those
      <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
It may work and may not.
It may take days, weeks, months, or never for google to
      recognize it.

And it still won't accomplish what you want.

You could try the ad filter. But my experience shows that for
every one you block, 10 more take it's place.

Have 3 ad blocks, strategically placed throughout. I used to
think less was best, but man was I wrong in my case. The
more blocks you have, the more chance a good ad shows.

And the top ones are not always the most paying.
I had to get over that myth myself.

Tweak your title, headings <h1>etc, bold text, and don't
      worry about keyword stuffing.

The people using adsense are not dumb. They will try anything
and everything to get their ads seen as much as possible on
even the most remotely related sites. It's just something you
have to get over and live with.

Over time, if your site is optimized for certain keywords, the ads
will get better. But at any given time of the day, they may stink.

Thanks for both your answers. I am somewhat new to adsense.

So Paul, what I gather from your post is that adsense is a never ending dance between the publishers who want laser focused ads that will get clicked and the advertisers who want s many views of their ad as possible, even if they are only slightly relevant.

        Is this an accurate assessment?

I've found section targeting works reasonably well on my sites, but it doesn't happen straight away. You might need to give it a little while before you assess its response. I don't have any other suggestions, sorry.
