Quick question on anchor text

Hi everyone

Just a quick question. When google hits up your text, would it take the entire phrase or would it also split it up into individual words?

For example, if the text was

very fast cars and bikes

would google rank it for:

cars
fast cars
fast bikes

?????????????????????

  • Your site will rank for very fast cars and bikes higher. Google will also show your site for very fast cars and fast cars etc. But not so high.
  • Google will rank you higher for the phrase and lower for the other words.
  • It will consider the phrase. But both are important, it will also split the words. In most of the analytic and statistics applications like awstats or webalizer you will see traffic from keywords and at the same time it will show the split words of that phrase in another column as words.
  • Great, thanks for your help guys!
  • Nope, You ranked higher in the phrase very fast cars and bikes instead.

    • Nobody will answer this question for you precisely, since no one works for Google here and even if they did, do you think they would share this kind of information?
