Yeah PPC is a very good way to increase traffic. However, your landing pages need to be very well laid out. You don't want to burn money on traffic and they don't convert well.

To start of safely, first start with a Google Adwords Content campaign. It will cost less and you'll get an idea of how the traffic converts on your side.

I repeat, your landing page needs to be GOOD.

yeah, make sure your landing page is good, and if your using PPC then make sure you're capturing peoples email addresses and building your subsriber list.

If you don't do this, then you will probably lose money.

Make sure you test and tweak your campaigns too :-)

It would be foolish to predict what you may or may not earn from the proposed campaign as each person has differing skill sets and or enjoy what they are doing at best it suits some people and not others.

Allow a decent time frame and budget with no expectations of return and see how you go and if possible grab some free or paid guides to help you better understand the nature of the beast before stepping into the loins den.

A good time to start using PPC is relative. It will depend on when you attain the following amongst many others:

- Sufficient knowledge about PPC such that you don't burn your fingers
- Enough funds to invest on PPC
- Your attitude towards risk
- Whether you have more money than time or vice versa
- The timing you set for yourself to attain a particular target such that you need to fasttrack by using PPC
- Sufficient knowledge about alternative sources of driving traffic including SEO such that you are able to authoritatively compare and conclude that PPC at that time is in fact a better alternative or can become complimentary.

All the above are variables which will differ from individual to individual.

It is pertinent to say whenever you eventually choose to plunge into the murky waters of PPC, you should set a budget and make your ad highly targeted and as already said above, your landing page very effective such that it will adequately convert.

It is also relevant to state that PPC is not a substitute for SEO but rather an effective complement as whatever you do, SEO is the long term marketing strategy which is enduring and relatively cheap though it takes time to take effect but the momentum can hardly be stopped once it builds except perharps you shut down your website.

Shouldn't the landing page be good (that is convert well) no matter how you get your traffic? If you know how well it converts for natural traffic, you're one step ahead in figuring out how much you should pay to make a profit.

When your website has been launched and web pages are well optimized then you should start PPC. You not only increase your traffic but you should also get good response to sale your products.
